If you are currently experiencing strange cat behaviour then I think I might be able to help you out. A while back now my cats just started acting all nervous and fidgety and I wondered why. I had to find out because it was unfair on them if it was something I had been doing. Here are some of my top tips on strange cat behaviour.
Has Anything Changed? - Do you think that anything major or even small has changed to the cat recently in terms of the territory in which it lives. Animals like cats are very territorial and love a consistent and stable environment. Maybe you have moved their basket or changed their feeding time or moved furniture. All of these things can unnerve a cat and make them change behaviour, they are very sensitive. Try moving everything back to its original place and see if anything changes in 2 weeks.

Stress In The House - You have to be totally honest with yourself here. Have things bee stressful around the home recently? Cats can pick up on a humans stress and they are nearly always watching you if they are not sleeping. Maybe something has to be done in that area. I do not mean to patronize you because I know nothing about your life but it has been shown to be a problem.
Just Wild? - There is a high possibility that the animals are just being their wild natural selves. This means that they are just going to have to be trained by pain and pleasure ti give the behaviours you want if they are going to live in your house.
For example. You would use the pain part to scare or shock the cats if they act bad like biting scratching. I shock them by banging some pots near their head or otherwise making a loud noise and spraying water onto them with a bottle I have nearby. It works a charm and they stop after a while but you have to remember the other side of the equation.
You have to use pleasure with your cats. What do they absolutely love more than most? Maybe it is a new toy or just something as simple as a stroke? Bond with your cats in the coming two weeks. If you make time to stroke them for 30 minutes daily they will behave so much better for you. Maybe 30 minutes is too much for you but it is worth the furniture being saved from scratches and constant meowing.
