How to control aggression of cats:

It is uncommon to hear that one or the other cat was tossed out of the house of the owner due to its aggressive behaviour. Cats behave aggressively due to some or the other reasons. Cats never do anything without reason. These scratching and biting are quite unwelcome. Cats generally behave in a very predictable way, so there has to be a reason for this unusual behaviour shown by them. There are two kinds of biting and scratching behaviours in cats and unfortunately both are shown due to human failings.

SPAY A CAT

Aggression is generally seen more in between cats rather than towards humans. You might be surprised to see two cats buddies at one time and in a tooth-and-claw fight the next very moment. Aggression in between cats can be of several forms as well. Sometimes it is just playful while at the other time the cat may be aggressive in some kind of urge or pain.

Playful Aggression in between cats

Also termed as playful fighting, this very form of aggression starts at a very early age. The kittens play among themselves or between other household kittens and learn the art of fighting, stalking, killing the prey, investigating. Cats have a natural instinct of survival n these lessons on predator-prey relations are necessary for the new ones to survive. This playful fighting is usually harmless. It may often look aggressive to us but kittens keep on giving signals to others that it is playful. The often corrects the others if the one takes a wrong move.

Sexual Aggression

Sexual aggression is largely seen among cats even among those who are neutered. The aggression can be easily identified. The aggressor attacks the other cat by biting on the nape of their neck. This kind of aggression can be shown either from a male to a female or from a female to a male cat.

Territorial Aggression

Territorial Aggression can be in between male-male, male-female or female-female cats. They show their aggression by passing urine. This can result in a big battle ending up with a social hierarchy.
Stopping the cats fight is often a headache for the owners. Still there are few ways you can follow to stop the aggressive behaviour of your cat:

1. You can expose her to other animals, people and surroundings. Can generally get aggressive when they do not get proper attention in their childhood. You can provide your cat different toys and spend a little time with them playing.

2. Do not pat the back of your cat or assure them when they show aggressive behaviour towards other cats. They take it as a reward. Try to stop them and make them indulge in some different activity.

3. Leave your cat alone in a room when she starts showing signs of aggression, rubbing their paws or bending their ears down. Leave them alone for a little time. Do not try to interact with your cat at that time.

4. A little medication may also help in curbing the cat's aggressive behaviour towards other cats. You may contact your veterinarian in that case.
