How Do I Stop My Dog Peeing in the House? Here's How!

If you're asking yourself the question "how do I stop my dog peeing in the house?" then this article was written for you. Specifically, we're going to talk about why your dog is peeing inside your home, what you shouldn't do to overcome this problem, and what you should do to fix this. By the time you've finished reading this article, you'll know how to stop a dog from peeing in the house.

Let's start by looking at what makes your dog pee in your home. The most likely reason is that your dog is marking his territory. You see, dogs have an advanced sense of smell. So if another dog was to enter your home, they would soon know that this territory "belongs" to your dog. Male dogs are more likely to engage in this behavior, and particular breeds are also more likely to do this.

So what shouldn't you do?

Most dog owners will get angry and try to punish their dog for peeing in the the home. But the problem is that this just doesn't work, and it's also unfair - because your dog doesn't understand why you are punishing him. Unless you can actually catch him "in the act", you will only confuse him.

A better alternative is to use positive reinforcement techniques.

So let's talk about what you can do to overcome this problem. The best solution is to start early with crate training. While it may look like a "prison" to us - it really isn't cruel. To your dog, the crate is an enjoyable space which he will find comforting, not restricting. The benefit to this is that your dog won't pee in a small enclosed environment like this.

But if this just isn't an option, you can always "distract" him before he pees, so you have time to take him outside. Simply make a loud shaker. Put a few coins into an empty water bottle, and shake it quickly to make a loud sound. This will alert your dog, and give you time to take him outside to pee.

If you're looking for an easy-to-make subway tuna recipe, then this article was written for you. By the time you have finished reading this article, you'll be well on your way to creating your own delicious tuna subway recipe from the comfort of your own home!

So, what exactly is this recipe? You may not have realized that this is one of the most popular choices at Subway, and it's incredible great taste always keeps you coming back for more. It is also very healthy, as well as being simple to make. However - it isn't that easy to "copy". You see, the "secret" is in the mayo.

SPAY A CAT

Here's the main ingredients you'll need. Obviously, you'll need plenty of tuna! It's best to go for light chunks in water. Next, you'll need light mayonnaise. Finally, you'll need a little lemon juice and salt.

Now, let's talk about putting all of this together. As with many "secret" restaurant recipes, the preparation can make all the difference.

Here's what you need to do. First, drain the tuna for a few minutes - just enough so you can "squeeze" it dry. The dryness gives this particular Subway the right taste and texture. Next, you'll need to add enough mayonnaise to keep it all together. This will come down to practice and personal preference.

To summarize, this article has shown you a simple way to make a subway tuna sandwich. We talked about what this meal is, what the main ingredients are - and how to put it all together.

Car Total Loss - Determining And Settling The Value Of Your Car!

What is the car total loss process? Once you are in an
accident, the insurance company must inspect the vehicle and determine whether
the damage was substantial enough to declare a complete loss.

Most insurance companies will want to inspect the vehicles
themselves. In most accidents, insurance companies have approved body shops
write estimates and they eventually issue payment based on that estimate.
However, when there is a potential for a car total loss, most insurance
companies want their insurance adjuster to inspect the vehicle.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SPAY A CAT

The reason for this is the conflict of interest that arises
from the arrangement between the insurance company and the body shop. Body shops
are in the business of fixing cars. They have a vested interest in quoting the
repairs so the car can be fixed and not declare it a car total loss.

For all practical purposes this means that you will be
waiting longer. Usually it takes two to three business days for the body shop to
issue a repair estimate. If the claim adjuster or the field representative has
to inspect and write their own estimate, then you will be waiting three to five
more days to get to the location of your car.

Before the adjuster comes out, she/he will submit all
pertinent information about your car (year, make, model, and mileage) to a third
party company. This company usually is CCC
Information Services Group, Inc.
CCC will do a preliminary report to
determine what the value of your car is so the adjuster knows what the insurance
company would be looking to if there is a total loss.

Depending on your state law and the specific insurance
company, there will be a car total loss when the insurance company believes that
the cost to fix the car reaches 70%, 80%, or even 90% of its total value. It is
always a good idea to ask the adjuster what is the threshold they use to
determine a total loss.

When the vehicle is being estimated by the car total loss
adjuster, this individual will be looking at the condition of the vehicle. They
will note how "clean" the vehicle is, what is the exact mileage, and what
equipment and options the car has. All of this information will be reflected in
the final evaluation of the vehicle.

The adjuster will then submit the inspection report again
to CCC. CCC will send a final report showing comparative prices for the vehicles
in your local market. They will establish what the fair market value of the car
is and what a fair offer of settlement would be. For more information on how to
dispute this report visit:
http://www.auto-insurance-claim-advice.com/car-total-loss-2.html.

Next, the adjuster must determine who the lien holder of
the vehicle is. If you have a car loan, the insurance adjuster must get that
information so they can contact the bank to determine how much is owed. There
are different requirements insurance companies must follow. If the insurance
company you are dealing with is your own (you are claiming the car total loss
against your own insurance company) then they will be bound by the terms of the
policy, which 99% of the time requires them to pay the bank first. If you are
making a total loss against someone else's insurance company (the person that
hit you), then this requirement does not exist (there is no actual policy to be
bound by).

If you have a loan, then the insurance adjuster will
request from the bank a Letter of Guarantee. This letter is an agreement between
the bank and the insurance company that for the payment of x amount, the bank
will release the title of the car to the insurance company directly. This
process usually takes four to five days.

If the amount you owe for the car is less than what the
insurance company will pay for the car total loss, then the insurance company
will pay the loan amount and then issue you a second check directly. If the loan
amount is higher than what the car total loss offer, then you will be upside
down your loan. You will be required to continue making payments even though the
car title will be transferred to the insurance company.

Once you receive payment for your loss, you will be able to
go out and get another car. For more information the total loss process and how
to protect your interest, visit:

Cat Bites - Dangers and Disease

Myth: You can't get a disease from a bite from your own cat.

Fact: Anyone can get an infection from any cat bite.

Cat

Cats carry a germ called Pasteurella multocida in their mouths, a bacterium that can cause severe infections in humans. Both humans and animals have a mouthful of germs, but normally the body's own immune system keeps them in their place. The skin is one of the most important natural barriers. When this is disrupted by a bite, especially a puncture wound, bacteria are introduced into the deeper tissues, where they are nourished by a constant supply of blood. Cat teeth are often sharp and needle-like, and may penetrate to underlying tendons and ligaments, where infection can endanger the use of the effected limb.

Any cat bite should be cleaned immediately with soapy water and rinsed for several minutes. Even with thorough cleansing, infection is likely. However, taking antibiotics before signs of infection develop does not seem to decrease the likelihood of a wound becoming infected.

Infections from cat bites spread quickly, especially when the bite wound is on the hand. Within hours redness, swelling, pain, and warmth may develop at the site of the wound. A red streak may extend upwards as inflammation spreads along the lymphatic channels and veins that lead away from the wound. If these symptoms occur, call your doctor right away. He may decide to offer you an antibiotic over the phone, or more likely will want to see you. Either way, you will need an antibiotic. Penicillin or amoxicillin left over from a sore throat or ear infection is not likely to be effective. If you decide to wait a few days and see how things develop, you're likely to end up in the hospital on intravenous antibiotics.

Cats carry other diseases as well. Cat scratch disease is caused by Bartonella henselae. Infection with this organism produces a crusted, red bump or pustule at the site of the cat scratch or bite within 3 to 10 days of exposure. Swollen glands develop within the next 2 weeks. Bites on the arm or hand produce swollen glands in the armpits, whereas those on the lower extremities cause lymph nodes in the groin to swell. Along with the swollen glands comes fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, and headache. In general, no antibiotics are needed for this infection, which takes 2 to 5 months to resolve.

Contracting rabies from an unvaccinated cat is a possibility. In the US, the highest incidence of cat rabies is clustered in the lower New England states. If your own cat bites you but has been vaccinated, the risk is practically nonexistent. If a ferrel cat bites you, you should contact your doctor or health department right away to see if you are a candidate for rabies immunization. If you wait until you have symptoms, you'll be dead soon. Don't skimp on immunizing your pet - spending now could save you ,000 or more in the long run.

Raising Siamese Cats

Of all breeds of cats, the Siamese cat is the ideal cat for the owner who wants a demonstrative and loving cat. Known to be extroverts, Siamese cats are outgoing and sociable. They know who their owners are and are frequently seen shadowing their owner wherever they go.

Siamese cats depend on human beings for their survival since they do not possess several traits typically seen in cats. The color of their hair may be good to look at but not good as camouflage. They cannot roam around during the night because they cannot see clearly in low lighted areas. And their hearing sense is less sensitive than those of other breeds of cats.

SPAY A CAT

Siamese cats thrive on company. They love to be around people, which is the reason why it is not advisable to have a Siamese cat if you live alone and are often out. If you do plan to have a Siamese cat as a pet, then make sure there is someone to be with the cat. Or better yet, get another Siamese cat to pair up with your pet cat.

If there is no other Siamese cat available, you can get another feline since it there are other breeds that can be matched with your Siamese cat. You can pair your Siamese cat with another cat breed as long as they will get along. You may need to consult your veterinarian or a cat expert on which breed can be put together with a Siamese.

Make sure to provide them with toys or any activity that can occupy their time. It can be a toy mouse, a ball of string, or even a post for scratching. This will provide some entertainment for your Siamese cats as well as prevent them from using and destroying your own furniture for their play.

A woman would probably envy the metabolism of a Siamese cat since they eat big sized portions of food and yet do not grow fat. It is probably because these cats eat just the right amount of food that will make them full. Anything beyond it, they leave on their plates. So if you notice that there is always a bit of food left on their plates, it may mean that you are giving too much food and must be lessened on the subsequent meals. On the other hand, if they seem to be searching for more to eat, they may still be hungry. Try adding another portion of food whenever you give your Siamese cat a meal until you notice that they are quite satiated. And when they are, take note of the portion you need to feed your cat for their every meal.

A Siamese cat matures faster and earlier than the others in the cat family, some even as young as five months. Since spaying of your cat is recommended on the sixth month, you have at least a month to ensure that your cat does not get into trouble and get itself pregnant since it is at this time of the month that they are actively looking for a mate. You have to keep her indoors and check on where she is and what she is doing. If she manages to get out and find a male cat, chances are that you are going to be a grandparent to their kittens.

Siamese cats often are healthy in general, with a life span reaching up to twenty years. However, they are also prone to having tartar problems on their teeth and even gingivitis. If these conditions are not given attention, it may affect the health of your pet Siamese. They should have regular checkups with their veterinarian to be able to get their teeth clean. You can also do the brushing if your cat allows you to do it.

A Siamese cat is the perfect companion cat for those people who know how to handle its character, since their personalities are the ideal complement to the Siamese cat.

Feline UTI and Home Remedy

Feline UTI. All pet owners worry when they see the signs of this fatal disease it their cat. But how do you know he really has it, and what do you do if he does? Read more, and find out.

Feline UTI (urinary tract infection) is a disease that many cats have. It's mostly found in neutered male cats. Since it is a fatal but highly treatable disease, you will want to know the signs so that you can treat it early. UTI shows up very quickly, one day your cat is fine, and the next he is blocked by crystals or bladder stones. Toxins will build up in the cat's body, as the kidneys are no longer filtering bad things out of the cat's system. If your cat isn't treated, it can die within 24 hours. Recognizing the signs and symptoms is easy. Some of the first symptoms are urinating outside of the litter box, straining to urinate, blood in the urine, excessive licking of the genitals, and crying in the litter box.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SPAY A CAT

Some may just think that their cat has developed bad cat behaviors. This is because they may be urinating on the floor away from the litter box. The cause of this is that if the cat finds it painful to use the litter box, they may start to identify the box with the problem. In this case, they will avoid it, trying to escape the pain. If not quickly corrected, you may have a lot of trouble getting your cat to use his litter box again.

A cat's bladder will usually feel like a slippery water balloon. However, when it has UTI, the bladder will more likely feel like a hard peach, as it is all full. Palpate your cat's stomach, and see if it feels hard. Hopefully it will feel normal, and soft. Once in a while, the palpating actually releases the blockage.

UTI is usually treated by a vet. At the vet they will use a catheter to push the blockage out, or back into the bladder where it will dissolve. This is a painful operation for the cat. Because of the pain, anesthetic is given to the cat. Usually, the cat will be kept at the vets for a few days with a catheter attached to them to make sure that the cat doesn't have the blockage come back, or if you are on a budget, you can leave right after the operation is complete. These vet visits may cost up to around ,000, so you might want to treat at home.

For this, I recommend apple cider vinegar. I used ACV along with Gimborn Uri soothe for urinary tract health. After about five days of apple cider vinegar and Uri soothe treatment, Wessie is now urinating normally. It was low-cost, around .08, while a visit to the vets can cost over a thousand dollars.

If you are trying to treat at home, here are some tips.

When your cat has UTI, regularly scoop his box so that you can see any new urine that he has left. Make sure that the cat keeps hydrated, but that he doesn't have too much water, as he will then be in extreme discomfort if he is unable to release the pressure. Feed your cat his normal amount of wet food with a capful of ACV mixed in. If your cat usually has dry, switch to wet. You might want to find a urinary tract supplement like we did.
